Stacy Langenecker
6th place age-group finisher, Ironman Wisconsin 2005

Swim Fast is turning my inspirations into a reality. I started swimming in November 04' pulling out a mile swim in 1:17. Panicked I tried several swim techniques and finally came upon Mark Peterson's open water swim sessions. Using both the class and individual sessions I worked with Mark for less than four months before the 'big race.' I did a total 180 from the attitude that I hated the water, it's cold, it's wet and I just wanted to finish to being excited to swim fast, swim far, swim strong and more importantly swim efficient.

Challenging me both physically and mentally Mark's trained eye and cues refined my stroke and provided the level of difficulty in each workout to take me that one step further. Mark's dedication to his athletes shines through whether in a group, individual session or on race day. He is really there to help create success. All I can say is WOW, I finished Ironman WI 05' with a 2.4 mile swim time of 1:11. With Mark's guidance I got to hear the announcer shout, "Stacey you are an Ironman." I owe a lot to Mark for not only helping me swim, but with speed and efficiency. He changed my swim from my biggest fear to my biggest accomplishment and a favorite part of my race.

If Swim Fast can refine my swim that drastically in four months, I look forward to the speed I have yet to find with Mark over an entire year. Swim Fast.
